A Lobster has been found with the Pepsi logo imprinted on its claw, sparking fresh concerns about ocean debris. The animal was found trapped in the waters off Grand Manan in New Brunswick, eastern Canada, by Karissa Lindstrand. School suspends five students who ‘liked’ racist Instagram posts.

The lobster had been loaded onto a crate to have rubber bands put on its claws when it was spotted last week. Lindstrand, who reportedly drinks up to 12 cans of Pepsi a day, told The Guardian that she quickly recognized the logo on the lobster’s claw. ‘I was like: “Oh, that’s a Pepsi can,”‘ she said. ‘It looked like it was a print put right on the lobster claw.’

Karissa found the lobster and quickly recognized the logo. Since then people have been debating where the logo actually came from. Some reckon the lobster grew around a can that ended up at the bottom of the ocean, while others believe part of a Pepsi box somehow became stuck on the animal’s claw.

Congressman Joe Barton will not seek re-election after nude is leaked online by ex Lindstrand doesn’t agree with either, telling the paper that because the image on the claw was pix-elated, it couldn’t have come from a can. Images on Pepsi boxes are apparently too large to be what she saw on the claw.

She said it looked as though it had come from a printed photo, but paper would have disintegrated in the ocean – so she is out of ideas. Every year, between five million and 13million tonnes of plastic leak into the world’s oceans.
