Antonio Conte has reportedly opened up on his love to have Alexis Sanchez at the Stamford Bridge. The Italian manager who was seen whispering into the Chilean’s ear after the Blues goalless draw against Arsenal two months ago, has finally admitted he would love to work with the player whom he respects so much.

According to the Daily Mirror, Conte advised Chelsea board to ensure they beat Mourinho to the player’s signature during the winter transfer market, but they couldn’t achieve the manager’s wish.

Manchester United were smart enough while negotiating with Arsenal as they enticed the Gunners hierarchy with the release of Armenian playmaker Henrikh Mkhitaryan as part of the deal.

Conte who is reportedly under pressure to save his job will now turn to another Arsenal player —who joined the Blues on deadline day— for goals. Olivier Giroud who is desperately in need of regular first-team action moved from North London to West London when he completed his £18million switch to Stamford Bridge.

Olivier Giroud might turn out to be the player who could solve Chelsea’s goalscoring problems since Alvaro Morata’s loss of form.

Morata who is Chelsea’s leading striker has lost his form since his return from injury, but with the signing of the Frenchman,, the former Madrid player won’t solely shoulder Chelsea’s goalscoring burden anymore.

Giroud might make his Chelsea debut on Monday when they battle Watford at the Vicarage Road.
